Warm-up party – East China region – Fifa 2010 soccer world cup launch party (Beijing, China)
Legacy Artistes recently consulted with and supplied the live entertainment for the Fifa 2010 warm-up party held in Beijing for the East China region. The party served as a warm-up excitement generator for the soccer world cup which will be held in South Africa in 2010.
Legacy Artistes sourced, trained and supplied authentic South African entertainment, amongst which was a high-energy Afro-Jazz band who performed unique South African ‘township’ jazz, a danceable and exciting sound. The entire event was themed with food stalls and decor reminiscent of South African sporting events, and was set as a ‘taster of typical daily South African sports life’ for tourists who will be travelling to the soccer world cup.
More than 100 dignatories braved the 500 noisy sports ‘fans’ and donned casual sports wear for the event, blending into the crowd unnoticed, and joining in the revelry. Similar events are to be held worldwide soon, the first being Beijing.

Live-wire South African band delivered an exciting performance for two hours and put everyone in a great party mood.
Revelry from the party-goers in sportswear, crazy wigs and blowing “vuvuzelas” – a noisy trumpet like instrument that is a mainstay of soccer and other sports matches across South Africa. The instrument comes in the various colors found on the South African flag and is very easy to learn to play.
